Mike Patrick Keynote Description

INCREDIBLE    INFORMATIVE

INSPIRING    IRREPRESSIBLE

Just ask his audience. Mike Patrick is a lot of positive adjectives, adjectives that will change and improve lives. Patrick, a quadriplegic since age 16 as a result of a football injury, is a health educator who converts limitations to achievements.

Mike’s presentation, “Think About It,” helps individuals overcome obstacles, creatively solve problems, affect attitudes, change perceptions and perform successfully — at work, at school and at home. His message includes candor, wit and humor.

Mike Patrick is a realist. When asked why he feels his presentation is important, he says, “I want my audience to start thinking and to learn if you think things through, you can find a solution to just about any problem. The problem isn’t the issue, the issue is how you deal with the problem.”

In 1992, he won the Minnesota Community Television Award for Outstanding Educational Programming for his three-part videocassette series and study guides entitled, “TOUGH DECISIONS: A Teenage Dilemma.”

In 1997, he became one of thirty-seven authors to pen chapters for the highly-successful “TEEN POWER” book series. Mike’s chapter entitled, “The Domino Theory” appears in “PreTEEN POWER” which is geared for ten to fourteen year old youth. His chapter deals with the art of asking questions. It is one of four books in the series.

Mike’s latest written work is a chapter in “Lead NOW or Step Aside” which addresses overcoming adversity. Released in January 2000, “Lead NOW” is sixteen chapters packed full of advice for young leaders. These products — and more — may be purchased through Mike’s web site at www.patcom.com.
